Our Projects
Empathising with the existing architecture is important to the company.
Here we built a simple single storey extension onto the end of a row of 18th Century farm-workers cottages on the main street in a village location.
Several courses of blue bricks below the render, matching brickwork features at eaves level and brickwork arches all ensured that the division between old and new cottage blended seamlessly.
As with many properties this original executive type home was full of rooms but had no real major focal point to give the wow factor.
We added a large sun-room with a pyramid vaulted roof and a young person's area with storage space above.
The original architect's plans were vague to say the least and so the project meant plenty of communication between the client, the local authorities and ourselves to ensure that the finished product was as impressive as the client wished it to be.
The clients bought what was once the local farmhouse and now wished to modernise it to their taste but still retaining the looks and feel of the original building.
To this end an extension was built on the front to accommodate a new staircase, a large extension was built to the rear for a large kitchen and entertaining area and a luxurious double garage was built to house the pride and joy.
The work was packed with features befitting and complimenting the original property.
